Very Happy!

I like to consider myself a pizza snob. I was born and raised in upstate NY where you will find the best in this country. Trust me I know from all the traveling I have done. Speaking of travels, I recently was in Italy for the first time and of course I was on a mission to finally try authentic Italian pizza. When I took my first bite I knew I was ruined for the rest of my life when it came to eating pizza back here in the states. When I did get back I started on a mission of figuring out how I can replicate the amazing pizza I just discovered in Italy. After trying so many different flours and recipes I was not even close to the same pizza.

Then one night Prepa Pizza showed up while I was doom scrolling. I will admit their marketing hooked me and I figured why not. The day came that I finally got around to making the dough using the Prepa Pizza kit. I do want to emphasize that at this point I have been a huge skeptic. I opened up the bag that had the separate packages inside and soon discovered that one of the bags was missing a letter and one had a small tear leaking some flour. Honestly I knew something like that could happen and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what was what by using the process of elimination.

So I made the dough, let it proof and then finally made my first pizza. I was stunned when I pulled it out because finally I made a pizza that looked just like the pizza I discovered in Italy. I brought it inside, sliced it up and started to eat my first Prepa Pizza. I was blown away! I couldn't believe how good it tasted and the texture of the cooked dough was spot on perfect.

Again I am a pizza snob and not easily impressed with other pizzas and all the gimmicks out there with the pizza dough making kits. However Prepa Pizza without a doubt is a must try. Thank you Prepa Pizza for bringing this solution to us. Thank you for the step by step video instructions. Thank you!

This showed up with the olive oil torn and all over all the packages. The stickers labeling each packet all came off because of the oil and now I don’t know what is what.

I've been a professional chef for 23 years. I have a ceramic grill and routinely do Neapolitan style pizzas, making dough from scratch. I've done deep dish, NY style, you name it. On paper, I'm someone that shouldn't be ordering a pizza crust kit.

That being said, I also have 3 girls, 2 businesses, and a google calendar that never ends. So when it comes time for pizza night, I just don't have it in me to use my brain. Enter: Prepa Pizza.

I love that they have you make a poolish the night before (or morning of). The flavor development from that is crucial. Simply dump 1 packet of dry ingredients, water, plus the honey packet and yeast packet, mix, and put in the fridge.

Next day was just mixing in the rest of the dry, kneading (mixer or by hand), letting it rest, then stretching it and making the pizzas.

Verdict - Amazing crust. Even in a home oven at 500 degrees, this turns out better than any pizza in our city, and as good if not better than when I do it myself from scratch. I'd much rather spend a little money on a foolproof amazing crust and use the rest of my brainpower/manpower for toppings and other stuff (tonight was sautΓ©ed shaved brussels sprouts and red onion with maple, gruyere, goat cheese and balsamic).

So I guess take it from someone who knows what real pizza dough is. It's THIS. I'll be ordering and keeping in the pantry so pizza night can happen more often!

Hi, this is Jolene McCoy,

and thats my crazy husband Michael in the picture there competing to become a pizza world champion needless to say we are fans of making and eating great food. Several years ago we started on this journey of making homemade pizza dough. This turned into an obsession of creating the best at home pizza. Our favorite pizza was an hour and a half away or in another state all together and after having children, driving for that long just for pizza wasn't ideal. So the quest began for the perfect pizza at home. However this is where the crazy "foodie" kicked in. We watched every video and read every recipe on the subject. My husband bought all of the equipment and ovens you can think of. He's even competed, and placed in the top 25% on his very first try at the pizza world championships (picture to the right).I considered him an absolute nut! But, I prefer our pizza now over our previous favorite places. We've tested every recipe possible and my friends and family love it. Furthermore, I've spoken to many people, who said they tried and failed at making their own dough, but would really love to make their own pizza from home. So, Prepa Pizza was born in our efforts to help others make quality pizza at home, and what started as just a home based business where my husband would go out on foot to farmers markets, golf tournament's, and practically anywhere that would let him sell our product has quickly become the fastest growing pizza concept in history.
